Cosmetic travel bags add an air of style and convenience to any woman's trip. These cosmetic travel bags come in a variety of different styles, such as a hanging cosmetic bag or a satchel type of a bag. There are also many different colors available as well as materials from which the bags are made, such as leather. There are some that have added tools in them, such as bottles that are travel sized in which to place shampoo, conditioner and lotion so that the full sized bottle does not have to be brought on the trip. Cosmetic travel bags can be found on average for about thirty to forty dollars, but the leather bags will range from seventy to ninety dollars. The name brand bags can be even more expensive, often costing more than two hundred dollars to purchase.

There are many different options in a cosmetic travel bag. The first is to decide what type of style is required by the woman purchasing the bag. There are some very simple bags that have only a couple of pockets in it. These are not a great travel bag because if something spills, it gets onto all the other products inside of the bag, and often will leak out into the suitcase the cosmetic travel bag is lodged in. The best cosmetic travel bags are waterproof, or at least have some waterproof compartments in the bag so that materials that can possibly leak during the trip can be placed in those compartments.
Another option in the cosmetic travel bag is to have a hanging bag or one that sits on the countertop. The hanging bag is nice because it keeps the makeup out of the way and saves counter space. It is also easier to see what is inside of the bag, as long as there is a good place to hang it. Often there is a towel hanger placed on the back of the bathroom door in many hotels and motels, which is a perfect place to hang the bag since it is approximately at eye level. Sometimes these hanging cosmetic travel bags are not made large enough to adequately hold all of the materials and still close up. Sometimes the pockets are big enough to put some larger bottles into them, but when trying to fold and close the bag, it is impossible to do so.
