The co-head of the Pakistan Peoples Party Asif Ali Zardari said that it is becoming difficult to cope with Taliban in his country. He said in a BBC interview that in the fight with terrorism, the extremists are gaining an edge.
It is to be mentioned that the PPP has nominated Asif Ali Zardari as the Presidential Candidate. PPP leader said that Taliban should be put in the group of banned organizations.
Talking about the Taliban activities, Zardari said, “ This is an act of extremists and we will save our country from any such threat.” He also said that the world is losing and that meant that Taliban is slightly gaining an edge.
Zardari said that such situation is not only harmful for Pakistan or Afghanistan but it is harmful for the world as well.
Talking about his presidential candidature, Zardari said that he was certain of getting majority in the elections happening on 6th of September.
Zardari has spent over a decade behind the bars on charges of murder and corruption. He said that all the cases against him were a politically inspired.
Zardari also denied the news that the officials of Switzerland were still planning to make a case of illegal transfer of money against him.
