Between the conditions of violence and on going agitation in Jammu and Kashmir, the center still maintains that it is keep a strict eye on the conditions prevailing in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The government might be bound with some political issues but it has not been able to clear yet that even when the agitation is going on in Jammu, the highway to the valley is open and the essential commodities are going freely to the Kashmir valley.
The Home Ministry said on Thursday that the essential commodities are still reaching the Kashmir valley. It is not yet able to deny the issue of economic blockade raised by secessionists and PDP. The officials of the Home Ministry are releasing the information everyday about the number of trucks that have reached the valley through Jammu and also from Valley to Jammu and other parts of the country.
The figures released on Thursday said that in the last 24 hours till 2 P.M, about 970 trucks reached Kashmir valley. The 342 trucks included food items and 128 trucks of meat along with 188 trucks and tankers of oil and fuel. Also, 103 trucks from the valley reached Jammu with 437 of them loaded with fruit and 96 full of vegetables.
In spite of the figures released by the government, the PDP is blaming the Sangh Family for the economic blockade and said that the essential commodities are not reaching the valley. People are getting troubled in the valley due to this. The Central Government is still not able to provide a satisfactory answer to the party. In fact, the government wants to stick to both the regions of Jammu as well as that of Kashmir with it. The government is neither confirming the economic blockade in the Jammu division nor maintaining that the essential commodities are reaching the valley freely. The government doesn’t wants to play a villain in the eyes of Kashmiris and that is why it has stuck to the passage in between that neither goes this way nor the either.
